Lakers escape against Knicks

Kobe Bryant went for 28 points, seven rebounds, six assists, and four steals to lead the Los Angeles Lakers past the New York Knicks 116-114 on Tuesday night.

Los Angeles couldn't cover as 13-point home favorites as the game played over the 225-point total set by sportsbooks.

Lamar Odom added 17 points and 12 boards for the Lakers, who got 15 points and seven assists from Derek Fisher in the win.

Nate Robinson led the way for New York with 33 points off the bench, while David Lee had 18 points and 14 rebounds for the Knicks.
