The battle between the Clippers and Pistons didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Detroit was handed a 129-97 defeat on Sunday at STAPLES Center.

Los Angeles got 22 points from Blake Griffin and another 20 points from Chris Paul. Chris Paul contributed 14 assists, while Blake Griffin cleaned the glass with 8 rebounds.
The Pistons got an 18 -point performance from Jose Calderon, who was supported by 14 points from Jonas Jerebko. Rodney Stuckey had 5 assists in a losing cause for Detroit, while Jonas Jerebko grabbed 8 rebounds.
Los Angeles led at halftime, 70-52.
The rebound battle favored Los Angeles as they grabbed 35 boards, while Detroit only had 28.
Next game, Los Angeles takes its act home to face Memphis looking for another win. For Detroit, they head on the road to face Utah.
