The Mavericks got a 14-point performance from Chris Kaman, who was supported by 12 points from O.J. Mayo. Dirk Nowitzki had 6 assists in a losing cause for Dallas, while Shawn Marion grabbed 7 rebounds.
The Lakers hit the break leading 55-40 before taking care of business in the second half.
Los Angeles won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 57-37.
Los Angeles looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Grizzlies. The Mavericks will aim to get back on the winning track at Denver.
