Celtics hold off Timberwolves

Boston got 40 points from their bench on Friday, as the Celtics hung on for an 88-86 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Target Center.

The Celtics could not cover the 5.5-point road spread, and the 174 points scored were UNDER the posted total of 191.

Paul Pierce led the way with 18 points, and Ray Allen added 17 points for the Celtics.

Al Jefferson put up 18 points and nine rebounds, while Ryan Gomes had 13 points for the Timberwolves.
