Paul Pierce scored 29 points and added 14 assists for a double-double, leading Boston over Orlando, 102-98, on Wednesday at TD Garden.

The Celtics won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the 4.5-point spread. OVER bettors were rewarded when the final score pointed to an OVER play.

Boston got 23 points from Avery Bradley and another 21 points from Brandon Bass. Paul Pierce contributed 14 assists, while Kevin Garnett cleaned the glass with 9 rebounds.

The Magic got a 27-point performance from Glen Davis, who was supported by 21 points from Jameer Nelson. Jameer Nelson had 9 assists in a losing cause for Orlando, while Ryan Anderson grabbed 9 rebounds.

Boston led at halftime, 55-51.

Orlando won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 43-29.

Boston looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Hawks. The Magic will aim to get back on the winning track at Utah.
