Pistons fend off Nuggets

The Detroit Pistons were outscored in the fourth quarter, but managed to hang on for a 101-99 victory over the Denver Nuggets Thursday night.

Detroit won the game as an 8-point underdog, while the 200 points made it OVER the posted total of 198.5.

Charlie Villaneuva poured in 27 points with five rebounds and five assists to lead the way. Rodney Stuckey added 25 points in the win.

Carmelo Anthony tossed in a game-high 40 points in the loss for the Nuggets.
