Detroit won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the 2.5-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 191.5.
Detroit got 23 points from Brandon Knight and another 22 points from Tayshaun Prince. Brandon Knight contributed 10 assists, while Tayshaun Prince cleaned the glass with 10 rebounds.
Sacramento got 26 points from DeMarcus Cousins in a losing cause and another 24 points from Marcus Thornton. Tyreke Evans contributed 9 assists for the Kings, while DeMarcus Cousins had 15 rebounds.
The Pistons hit the break trailing 60-56 before taking care of business in the second half.
Detroit had a 48-40 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Next game, Detroit takes its act home to face Boston looking for another win. For Sacramento, they head on the road to face Cleveland.
