Kevin Martin poured in 34 points for Houston on Sunday, as they defeated Utah 110-108 at Toyota Center.
Houston did not, however, defeat the Jazz against the spread, which closed at 8.5 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 211.5.
Houston got 28 points from Kyle Lowry and another 14 points from Patrick Patterson. Kyle Lowry contributed 10 assists, while Patrick Patterson cleaned the glass with 13 rebounds.
Utah got 35 points from Paul Millsap in a losing cause and another 19 points from C.J. Miles. Paul Millsap contributed 4 assists for the Jazz, while Al Jefferson had 19 rebounds.
The Rockets hit the break leading 55-47 before taking care of business in the second half.
Utah had a 52-48 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Next game, Houston takes its act home to face Golden State looking for another win. For Utah, they head on the road to face Memphis.
