Los Angeles got 15 points from Randy Foye and another 14 points from Caron Butler. Chris Paul contributed 10 assists, while DeAndre Jordan cleaned the glass with 11 rebounds.
The Rockets got a 25-point performance from Kevin Martin, who was supported by 17 points from Samuel Dalembert. Kevin Martin had 8 assists in a losing cause for Houston, while Samuel Dalembert grabbed 12 rebounds.
Los Angeles trailed at halftime, 47-45.
Los Angeles won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 49-43.
Los Angeles looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Timberwolves. The Rockets will aim to get back on the winning track at Boston.
