Phoenix Defeats Los Angeles 125-105 - Recap
The battle between the Suns and Lakers didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Los Angeles was handed a 125-105 defeat on Saturday at US Airways Center.
Bettors who backed the Suns were also rewarded, as they covered the closing number as a favorite of 2.5 at sportsbooks. Over-Under bettors saw the total score go OVER the closing total of 198.5.
Phoenix got 24 points from Shannon Brown and another 23 points from Michael Redd. Steve Nash contributed 11 assists, while Marcin Gortat cleaned the glass with 9 rebounds.
Los Angeles got 30 points from Pau Gasol in a losing cause and another 23 points from Andrew Bynum. Ramon Sessions contributed 9 assists for the Lakers, while Andrew Bynum had 18 rebounds.
Phoenix led at halftime, 62-57.
Los Angeles won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 54-36.
Phoenix looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Timberwolves. The Lakers will aim to get back on the winning track at New Orleans.
