Phoenix Defeats New Jersey 104-103 - Recap
Phoenix got 17 points from Marcin Gortat en route to a 104-103 victory over New Jersey on Monday at Prudential Center.
Phoenix did not, however, defeat the Nets against the spread, which closed at 2.5 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 205.5.
Phoenix got 16 points from Hakim Warrick and another 14 points from Robin Lopez. Steve Nash contributed 15 assists, while Channing Frye cleaned the glass with 8 rebounds.
New Jersey got 28 points from Brook Lopez in a losing cause and another 22 points from Anthony Morrow. Deron Williams contributed 18 assists for the Nets, while Kris Humphries had 15 rebounds.
The Suns hit the break leading 52-51 before taking care of business in the second half.
New Jersey had a 49-44 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Next game, Phoenix takes its act on the road to face Boston looking for another win. For New Jersey, they head home to face Toronto.
