Nikola Pekovic scored 27 points and chipped in with 11 rebounds for Minnesota on Friday, leading the Timberwolves to a 108-105 victory over New Jersey at Prudential Center.

Minnesota did not, however, defeat the Nets against the spread, which closed at 4.5 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 199.5.

Kevin Love had 20 points for Minnesota and Ricky Rubio chipped in with 10 points. Ricky Rubio had 10 assists for the Timberwolves, while Nikola Pekovic was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 11 boards.

New Jersey got 42 points from Anthony Morrow in a losing cause and another 16 points from Kris Humphries. Deron Williams contributed 14 assists for the Nets, while Kris Humphries had 9 rebounds.

The Timberwolves hit the break trailing 50-49 before taking care of business in the second half.

Minnesota won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 47-41.
