Los Angeles got 23 points from Kent Bazemore in a losing cause and another 15 points from Wesley Johnson. Jordan Farmar contributed 7 assists for the Lakers, while Pau Gasol had 9 rebounds.
First-half bettors who backed Indiana were victorious, as the score was 57-54 at the break.
Indiana won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 62-42.
Indiana looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Bucks. The Lakers will aim to get back on the winning track at Memphis.
