The battle between the Rockets and Jazz didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Utah was handed a 124-86 defeat on Monday at Toyota Center.
The Rockets were a 14-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 204.5.
Terrence Jones had 30 points for Houston and Patrick Beverley chipped in with 19 points. Jeremy Lin had 9 assists for the Rockets, while Omer Asik was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 11 boards.
Utah got 15 points from Derrick Favors in a losing cause and another 15 points from Alec Burks. Trey Burke contributed 5 assists for the Jazz, while Enes Kanter had 9 rebounds.
First-half bettors who backed Houston were victorious, as the score was 60-41 at the break.
Houston won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 46-34.
Next game, Houston takes its act home to face Minnesota looking for another win. For Utah, they head on the road to face Memphis.
