Mississippi State Falls 73-63 to Providence - Recap

Kadeem Batts went off for 32 points and added 9 rebounds leading Providence to a 73-63 win over Mississippi State on Saturday at Dunkin Donuts Center.

Providence earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the 12-point spread.

Providence got 18 points from LaDontae Henton and another 9 points from Bryce Cotton. Josh Fortune contributed 7 assists, while Kadeem Batts cleaned the glass with 9 rebounds.

Mississippi State got 16 points from Wendell Lewis in a losing cause and another 12 points from Fred Thomas. Trivante Bloodman contributed 4 assists for them, while Wendell Lewis had 11 rebounds.

Providence led at halftime, 39-21.

Mississippi State won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 38-37.
