West Virginia Falls 91-65 Against Kansas - Game Recap
The battle between Kansas and West Virginia didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as West Virginia was handed a 91-65 defeat on Saturday at Allen Fieldhouse.
Kansas was a 15-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters.
Ben McLemore had 36 points for Kansas and Jeff Withey chipped in with 14 points. Elijah Johnson had 10 assists for them, while Jeff Withey was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 10 boards.
West Virginia got a 20-point performance from Terry Henderson, who was supported by 17 points from Dominique Rutledge. Juwan Staten had 7 assists in a losing cause for West Virginia, while Dominique Rutledge grabbed 13 rebounds.
Kansas led at halftime, 45-31.
West Virginia had a 41-36 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
