March Madness - Louisville vs Duke Final: 85-63 - Recap
The battle between Louisville and Duke didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Duke was handed an 85-63 defeat on Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Louisville won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the 4-point spread as favorites.
Louisville got 23 points from Russ Smith and another 16 points from Peyton Siva. Peyton Siva contributed 4 assists, while Gorgui Dieng cleaned the glass with 11 rebounds.
Duke got a 17-point performance from Mason Plumlee, who was supported by 12 points from Seth Curry. Quinn Cook had 5 assists in a losing cause for Duke, while Mason Plumlee grabbed 12 rebounds.
Louisville hit the break leading 35-32 before taking care of business in the second half.
Louisville won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 37-31.
