Marquette got 16 points from Chris Otule en route to a 58-53 victory over New Hampshire on Thursday at Bradley Center.

Marquette did not, however, defeat New Hampshire against the spread, which closed at 20.5 at most sportsbooks.

Marquette got 16 points from Todd Mayo and another 9 points from Jamil Wilson. Juan Anderson contributed 3 assists, while Juan Anderson cleaned the glass with 5 rebounds.

New Hampshire got 14 points from Patrick Konan in a losing cause and another 11 points from Daniel Dion. Jordon Bronner contributed 3 assists for them, while Patrick Konan had 10 rebounds.

Marquette led at halftime, 25-18.

New Hampshire won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 37-32.
