Canisius Defeats Buffalo 69-55 - Recap

Billy Baron scored 23 points leading Canisius to a 69-55 victory over Buffalo at First Niagara Center on Wednesday.

Canisius won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the 3.5-point spread as underdogs.

Chris Perez had 16 points for Canisius and Phil Valenti chipped in with 11 points. Billy Baron had 3 assists for them, while Chris Manhertz was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 9 boards.

Buffalo got 13 points from Javon McCrea in a losing cause and another 11 points from Joshua Freelove. Shannon Evans contributed 6 assists for them, while Jarryn Skeete had 7 rebounds.

Canisius trailed at halftime, 35-26.

Canisius won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 37-33.
