Mountain West Conference Tournament - New Mexico Defeats Boise State 70-67 - Recap
New Mexico got 23 points from Cameron Bairstow en route to a 70-67 victory over Boise State on Friday at Thomas & Mack Center.
New Mexico did not, however, defeat Boise State against the spread, which closed at 5 at most sportsbooks.
New Mexico got 16 points from Kendall Williams and another 14 points from Deshawn Delaney. Deshawn Delaney contributed 4 assists, while Alex Kirk cleaned the glass with 11 rebounds.
Boise State got 20 points from Derrick Marks in a losing cause and another 16 points from Thomas Bropleh. Anthony Drmic contributed 3 assists for them, while Ryan Watkins had 10 rebounds.
New Mexico led at halftime, 35-29.
New Mexico had a 37-34 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
