Cal Poly grabbed a 61-59 win over CS Northridge on Saturday, behind an 18-point effort from Chris Eversley at Honda Center.
Cal Poly won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the 3.5-point spread.
Cal Poly got 17 points from Dave Nwaba and another 14 points from Ridge Shipley. Jamal Johnson contributed 4 assists, while Dave Nwaba cleaned the glass with 6 rebounds.
CS Northridge got an 18-point performance from Stephen Maxwell, who was supported by 12 points from Josh Greene. Tre Hale-Edmerson had 2 assists in a losing cause for CS Northridge, while Stephan Hicks grabbed 12 rebounds.
