Rams stop slide against 49ers
The St. Louis Rams ended a five-game losing streak by forcing three turnovers in a 20-17 win over the San Francisco 49ers at the Edward Jones Dome on Sunday.
The Rams could not cover the 4.5-point spread at home, and the 37 points scored were UNDER the posted total of 44.5.
Marc Bulger threw a 5-yard score to Kevin Curtis with 27 seconds left in the game, and went 23-for-34 for 201 yards and an interception on the day. Stephen Jackson had a great game, rushing for 121 yards and a major on 23 carries for the Rams.
Alex Smith had a disappointing day, as he went 13-for-25 for 148 yards, one touchdown, and was picked off twice. Frank Gore had another big day, running for 134 yards and a score on 21 carries for the 49ers.
