Phoenix Defeats Los Angeles 90-69 - Recap
The battle between the Mercury and Sparks didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Los Angeles was handed a 90-69 defeat on Tuesday at US Airways Center.
Phoenix was the ATS victor, as they covered the 12-point spread as a favorite. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 163.5 were rewarded at the payout window.
Phoenix got 17 points from Diana Taurasi and another 16 points from Candice Dupree. Penny Taylor contributed 5 assists, while Candice Dupree cleaned the glass with 9 rebounds.
The Sparks got an 18 -point performance from Nneka Ogwumike, who was supported by 14 points from Kristi Toliver. Kristi Toliver had 7 assists in a losing cause for Los Angeles, while Nneka Ogwumike grabbed 9 rebounds.
Phoenix led at halftime, 42-39.
Phoenix won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 36-31.
Next game, Phoenix takes its act on the road to face Minnesota looking for another win. For Los Angeles, they head home to face Connecticut.
