Boilermakers Fall 14-0 Against Michigan State - Game Recap
Jeremy Langford ran for 131 yards as Michigan State handled Purdue by a score of 14-0 on Saturday at Spartan Stadium.
The Spartans won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the 27.5-point spread. UNDER bettors were rewarded when the final score pointed to an UNDER play.
Connor Cook completed 13 of 25 pass attempts for 107 yards for the Spartans in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Akeem Hunt rushed for 43 yards for Purdue, while Brandon Cottom added 39 yards. Danny Etling threw for 160 yards for the Boilermakers, while receivers Cameron Posey and Akeem Hunt had 50 and 36 yards respectively.
Purdue lost the offensive yardage battle to Michigan State 294-226 yards in Saturday's game. Michigan State had more first downs as that total ended up 21-14.
Purdue lost the time of possession battle 31:01/28:59, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Next game, Michigan State takes its act on the road to face Illinois looking for another win. For Purdue, they head home to face Ohio State.
