South Alabama Defeats Georgia State 38-17 - Recap
Jay Jones scampered through the Georgia State defense for 102 yards as South Alabama handed the Panthers a 38-17 defeat on Saturday at Georgia Dome.
The Jaguars were a 7.5-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 60.5.
Ross Metheny completed 19 of 28 pass attempts for 280 yards for the Jaguars in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Parris Lee rushed for 13 yards for Georgia State, while Travis Evans added 11 yards. Ronnie Bell threw for 321 yards for the Panthers, while receivers Robert Davis and Albert Wilson had 110 and 101 yards respectively.
Georgia State lost the offensive yardage battle to South Alabama 522-345 yards in Saturday's game. South Alabama had more first downs as that total ended up 24-15.
