Giants defeat Raiders, clinch NFC East
The New York Giants clinched the NFC East division title on Saturday night by defeating the Raiders in Oakland by a score of 30-21.
The Giants also managed to cover the 8-point spread on the road in this contest. The combined score went OVER the game’s posted total (41).
Giants QB Eli Manning went 12-of-24 for 204 yards in the win, throwing a touchdown pass to Plaxico Burress. Tiki Barber and Brandon Jacobs each ran for a Giants score, while Jay Feely booted three field goals.
Kerry Collins was good on 26-of-48 pass attempts for 331 yards for Oakland. Collins tossed two TD strikes to Randy Moss, and another to Doug Gabriel.
