Patriots take advantage of Lion mistakes
The New England Patriots forced five turnovers from the Detroit Lions in a 28-21 win at Gillette Stadium on Sunday.
The Patriots did not cover the 13.5-point spread at home, and the 49 points scored were OVER the posted total of 41.5.
Tom Brady was 27-for-38 for 305 yards and a pick, but was clutch in the fourth quarter. Corey Dillon rushed for only 25 yards on nine carries, but he scored three times for the Patriots.
Jon Kitna struggled, going 22-for-38 for 314 yards and a touchdown, along with three interceptions. Mike Furrey had nine receptions for 123 yards and a major for the Lions.
