Hokies squeak out win over Jackets
Dustin Keys' 21-yard field goal with just over four minutes to play proved to be the difference as the Virginia Tech Hokies knocked off the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets 20-17 on Saturday.
Despite the dramatic win the Hokies failed to cover the 7-point spread, while the combined final score played just UNDER the posted total of 41.
Darren Evans led the rushing attack for Virginia Tech with 94 yards and one touchdown.
QB Josh Nesbitt threw for one touchdown and ran for another for the Jackets, but in the end it was not enough.
