Recap - Thundering Herd Defeat Ohio 24-23
Antavious Wilson was good for 119 receiving yards on Saturday as the Thundering Herd grabbed a 24-23 win over the Bobcats at Joan C. Edwards Stadium.
The Thundering Herd earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the 6.5-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 46.5 were rewarded with a winning wager.
Brian Anderson completed 21 of 30 pass attempts for 295 yards for the Thundering Herd in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Phil Bates rushed for 60 yards for Ohio, while Vince Davidson added 36 yards. Boo Jackson threw for 155 yards for the Bobcats, while receivers Terrence McCrae and Riley Dunlop had 118 and 33 yards respectively.
Marshall outgained Ohio 391-331 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 19-15 by the Thundering Herd.
Ohio lost the time of possession battle 30:53/29:07, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
