Green Wave Fall 37-34 Against Syracuse - Game Recap

Antwon Bailey tore up the turf for 111 rushing yards on Saturday to lead the Orange to a 37-34 win over the Green Wave at Louisiana Superdome.

The Orange earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the 9.5-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 50.5 were rewarded with a winning wager.

Ryan Nassib completed 19 of 34 pass attempts for 186 yards for the Orange in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.

Orleans Darkwa rushed for 65 yards for Tulane, while Robert Kelley added 14 yards. Ryan Griffin threw for 320 yards for the Green Wave, while receivers Xavier Rush and Stephen Suchy had 135 and 48 yards respectively.

Tulane outgained Syracuse 471-356 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 21-18 by the Orange.

Tulane lost the time of possession battle 31:44/28:16, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Syracuse heads into a Week 8 battle against West Virginia. Tulane, meanwhile, will have their next action against Texas El Paso.
