Recap - Crimson Tide Defeat LSU 21-0
The battle between the Crimson Tide and Tigers didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as LSU was handed a 21-0 defeat on Monday at Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
The Crimson Tide were a 2.5-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 41.5.
AJ McCarron completed 23 of 34 pass attempts for 234 yards for the Crimson Tide in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Kenny Hilliard rushed for 16 yards for LSU, while Jordan Jefferson added 15 yards. Jordan Jefferson threw for 53 yards for the Tigers, while receivers Odell Beckham and Rueben Randle had 38 and 13 yards respectively.
Alabama outgained LSU 384-92 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 21-5 by the Crimson Tide.
The time of possession battle favored Alabama as their offense was on the field for 35:26, longer than the 24:34 of their opponents.
