Wolverines take care of Northwestern
The No. 25 Michigan Wolverines were up 27-17 at halftime Saturday, and then cruised to a 33-17 win over the No. 21 Northwestern Wildcats.
Michigan also easily covered the 2.5-point spread in this contest, while the combined score fell well UNDER the game’s posted total (63).
Wolverines QB Chad Henne went 17-of-30 for only 175 yards passing in the win, throwing one TD pass and three interceptions. Mike Massey had a TD catch, and Kevin Grady ran for a Michigan score.
Brett Basanez completed 26-of-49 pass attempts for 324 yards for Northwestern, with two TD passes and two interceptions. Mark Philmore had both touchdown receptions for the Wildcats.
