Second half surge lifts Hawkeyes

The Iowa Hawkeyes scored 21 points in the second half to come away with a 28-17 win over the Northwestern Wildcats on Saturday.

Iowa won the game as a slight 1.5-point underdogs, while the combined 45 points were just UNDER the posted total of 47.

Damian Sims ran for 30 yards off eight carries with two touchdowns for the Hawkeyes, and Jake Christenson completed 21-of-36 passes for 302 yards with a TD.

Tyrell Sutton rushed for 115 yards off 23 carries and a touchdown in the loss.
