Temple Defeats Army 63-32 - Recap
Montel Harris tore up the turf for 351 rushing yards on Saturday to lead the Owls to a 63-32 win over the Black Knights at Michie Stadium.
Temple won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the 3.5-point spread as underdogs. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 58.5.
Clinton Granger completed 2 of 4 pass attempts for 31 yards for the Owls in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Trent Steelman rushed for 139 yards for Army, while Larry Dixon added 106 yards. Trent Steelman threw for 70 yards for the Black Knights, while receivers Chevaughn Lawrence and Ejay Tucker had 47 and 18 yards respectively.
Army was outgained by Temple 565-495 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 25-22 by the Owls.
Army lost the time of possession battle 30:53/29:07, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Next game, Temple takes its act home to face Syracuse looking for another win. For Army, they head home to face Navy.
