Void runs Boilermakers over Spartans
Jerod Void ran for 133 yards and three touchdowns on Saturday to lift the Purdue Boilermakers to a 28-21 win over the Michigan State Spartans.
The Spartans lost this game as a 3-point favorite on the road, and with the loss now fall to 5-4 on the season. The game’s combined 49 points fell UNDER the posted total (63.5).
Curtis Painter completed 20-of-32 passes for 229 yards, and tossed a 39-yard touchdown to Dorien Bryant, who finished the game with seven catches for 72 yards in the victory.
Drew Stanton completed 22-of-30 passes for 252 yards, with a TD and an interception, and also ran in for a score. Eric Smith returned a fumble for a 65-yard TD in the loss.
