Gators need overtime to beat Commodores
The Florida Gators needed overtime Saturday night to get past the Vanderbilt Commodores 49-42.
Florida was favored big in this game but couldn’t cover the spread (-18). The points scored were OVER the posted total for the contest (49).
Gators QB Chris Leak threw 41 passes and was good on 32 of them for 256 yards and three touchdowns. He also ran two more in himself.
Vanderbilt QB Jay Cutler put up big numbers Saturday, going 28-for-42 for 360 yards and four touchdowns. Earl Bennett was Cutler's favorite receiver, catching two passes for touchdowns.
