Recap - Gators Defeat Louisiana-Lafayette 27-20
The Gators were Week 11 winners on Saturday, coming out on top of the Ragin` Cajuns by a score of 27-20 at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.
Florida did not, however, defeat the Ragin` Cajuns against the spread, which closed at 27 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 51.5.
Jeff Driskel completed 13 of 16 pass attempts for 98 yards for the Gators in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Alonzo Harris rushed for 68 yards for Louisiana-Lafayette, while Harry Peoples added 22 yards. Terrance Broadway threw for 171 yards for the Ragin` Cajuns, while receivers Harry Peoples and Darryl Surgent had 73 and 48 yards respectively.
Louisiana-Lafayette was outgained by Florida 311-267 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 16-12 by the Gators.
Louisiana-Lafayette lost the time of possession battle 31:51/28:09, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Next game, Florida takes its act home to face Jacksonville State looking for another win. For Louisiana-Lafayette, they head home to face Western Kentucky.
