Bruins Fall 35-0 Against Stanford - Game Recap
The battle between the Cardinal and Bruins didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as UCLA was handed a 35-0 defeat on Saturday at Rose Bowl.
The Cardinal were a 5.5-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 52.5.
Andrew Luck completed 11 of 24 pass attempts for 151 yards for the Cardinal in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Johnathan Franklin rushed for 73 yards for UCLA, while Malcolm Jones added 52 yards. Richard Brehaut threw for 42 yards for the Bruins, while receivers Nelson Rosario and Taylor Embree had 44 and 17 yards respectively.
Stanford outgained UCLA 362-233 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 21-15 by the Cardinal.
The time of possession battle favored Stanford as their offense was on the field for 36:51, longer than the 23:09 of their opponents.
Stanford heads into a Week 3 battle against Wake Forest. UCLA, meanwhile, will have their next action against Houston.
