Rockets vs Cowboys Final: 34-31 - Recap
Terrance Owens threw for 300 yards to lead the Rockets over Wyoming 34-31 on Saturday in Week 2 action at War Memorial Stadium.
Toledo won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the 3.5-point spread as underdogs. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 58.5.
David Fluellen rushed for 109 yards, while Terrance Owens added 74 yards in the win. Bernard Reedy and Alonzo Russell added 111 and 45 receiving yards respectively.
D.J. May rushed for 64 yards for Wyoming, while Brett Smith added 62 yards. Brett Smith threw for 339 yards for the Cowboys, while receivers Dominic Rufran and Chris McNeill had 102 and 77 yards respectively.
Toledo lost the offensive yardage battle to Wyoming 526-504 yards in Saturday's game. Toledo had more first downs as that total ended up 30-23.
The time of possession battle favored Toledo as their offense was on the field for 35:29, longer than the 24:31 of their opponents.
Next game, Toledo takes its act home to face Bowling Green looking for another win. For Wyoming, they head home to face Cal Poly.
