Tate shines as Iowa beat state rivals
Drew Tate was 26-for-38 for 275 yards, three touchdowns and one interceptions as the No.16 Iowa Hawkeyes dropped interstate rival Iowa State 27-17 at Kinnick Stadium on Saturday.
The Hawkeyes did not manage to cover the 13.5-point spread at home, and the 44 points scored was just UNDER the posted total of 48.
Dominique Douglas had six receptions for 88 yards on the day, and Albert Young carried 18 times for 56 yards for the Hawkeyes.
Brett Meyer was 15-for-31 for 153 yards and one major, and he also rushed for 75 yards and a touchdown. Todd Blythe had four catches for 47 yards and a score for the Cyclones.
