Cyclones blow by Kansas State
Bret Meyer completed 16-of-23 passes for 193 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Iowa State Cyclones to a 45-17 win over the Kansas State Wildcats on Saturday.
The Cyclones were listed as 7.5-point home favorites in this one, and didn’t have any trouble covering the spread. The game’s combined 62 points went OVER the posted total (47).
Stevie Hicks rushed for 148 yards and a TD, and Ryan Kock picked up 30 yards and a pair of touchdowns on the ground in the win. Austin Flynn, Todd Blythe and Ben Barkema all had touchdown receptions for the Cyclones.
Allan Evridge completed 17-of-30 passes for 218 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions. Evridge also rushed for a TD in the loss.
