Cyclones Fall 35-20 Against Oklahoma - Game Recap

Landry Jones sliced and diced the Cyclones defense for 405 yards as Oklahoma handed Iowa State a 35-20 defeat on Saturday at Jack Trice Stadium.

Oklahoma was a favorite by 13 points and came through with an ATS victory for bettors. The game went OVER the consensus closing total of 51.5.

Brennan Clay rushed for 157 yards, while Sterling Shepard added 13 yards in the win. Justin Brown and Kenny Stills added 107 and 92 receiving yards respectively.

Shontrelle Johnson rushed for 28 yards for Iowa State, while James White added 27 yards. Steele Jantz threw for 191 yards for the Cyclones, while receivers Quenton Bundrage and Chris Young had 44 and 33 yards respectively.

Iowa State lost the offensive yardage battle to Oklahoma 593-290 yards in Saturday's game. Oklahoma had more first downs as that total ended up 34-19.

The time of possession battle favored Oklahoma as their offense was on the field for 36:11, longer than the 23:49 of their opponents.

Next game, Oklahoma takes its act home to face Baylor looking for another win. For Iowa State, they head on the road to face Texas.
