Falcons defeat Bulls in explosive overtime shootout
Anthony Turner threw two of his three touchdowns passes in overtime as the Bowling Green Falcons beat the Buffalo Bulls 48-40 at Perry Stadium on Saturday.
The Falcons did not cover the 24-point spread at home, but the 88 points scored were well OVER the posted total of 42.5.
Turner was 17-for-23 for 208 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. Freddie Barnes of one of three Bowling Green backs to rush for 100 yards, gaining 123 yards on 23 carries and two majors for the Falcons.
Drew Willy was 21-for-32 for 134 yards and rushed for a score, while Steven King had 58 yards on 24 carries and a touchdown for the Bulls.
