Ohio Defeats New Mexico State 44-24 - Recap

The battle between the Bobcats and Aggies didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as New Mexico State was handed a 44-24 defeat on Saturday at Aggie Memorial Stadium.

The Bobcats were a 6.5-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 52.5.

Tyler Tettleton completed 16 of 28 pass attempts for 153 yards for the Bobcats in the win. He was picked off 1 time by the Aggies defense.

Kenny Turner rushed for 41 yards for New Mexico State, while Robert Clay added 14 yards. Andrew Manley threw for 362 yards for the Aggies, while receivers Todd Lee and Kenny Turner had 140 and 93 yards respectively.

New Mexico State was outgained by Ohio 452-368 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 22-16 by the Bobcats.

The time of possession battle favored Ohio as their offense was on the field for 31:37, longer than the 28:23 of their opponents.

Next game, Ohio takes its act home to face Gardner-Webb looking for another win. For New Mexico State, they head on the road to face Minnesota.
