Panthers blank Huskies

Tyler Palko threw for a touchdown and ran for another on Saturday to lead the Pittsburgh Panthers to a 24-0 win over the Connecticut Huskies.

The Panthers came into this game as an 11-point favorite at home and didn’t have any trouble covering the spread. The game’s final score fell UNDER the posted total (46.5).

Palko completed 12-of-21 passes for 116 yards. Steve Buches had a TD catch for the Panthers, and Bernard Lay returned a blocked field goal for a touchdown in the victory.

Matt Bonislawski really struggled behind center for the Huskies today, completing 18-of-35 passes for 156 yards and was picked off three times.
