Panthers hold on to beat Hawkeyes
LeSean McCoy rushed for a 27 yard touchdown in the fourth quarter that turned out to be the difference as the Pittsburgh Panthers held on to beat the Iowa Hawkyes 21-20 on Saturday afternoon.
The Panthers failed to cover the 2-point spread, while the final score played just UNDER the posted total of 41.5.
McCoy ended the day with 80 yards rushing on 18 attemptes. Panthers QB Bill Stull rushed for one touchdown while throwing for 128 yards in the air.
Hawkeyes RB Shonn Greene did his best to keep Iowa in the game. He rushed for 148 yards and one TD in the loss.
