Eagles shut out Ball State

Quarterback Matt Ryan threw a touchdown pass and rushed for two more to give the No. 21 Boston College Eagles a 38-0 win over the Ball St. Cardinals on Saturday.

Despite the loss the Cardinals were able to cover the 40-point spread. The game’s final score fell UNDER the posted total (52).

Ryan finished the game with 207 passing yards and 40 yards on the ground. L.V. Whitworth and Jeff Ross ran for a TD each in the victory and Brandon Robinson had a touchdown reception for the Eagles.

Joey Lynch completed 17-of-22 passes for 106 yards but failed to find the end zone for Ball State.
