Eagles Fall 38-7 Against Florida State - Game Recap
The battle between the Seminoles and Eagles didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Boston College was handed a 38-7 defeat on Thursday at Alumni Stadium.
Florida State was the ATS victor, as they covered the 14.5-point spread as a favorite. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 46.5 were rewarded at the payout window.
EJ Manuel completed 12 of 16 pass attempts for 180 yards for the Seminoles in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Rolandan Finch rushed for 59 yards for Boston College, while Josh Bordner added 45 yards. Chase Rettig threw for 76 yards for the Eagles, while receivers Bobby Swigert and Colin Larmond had 61 and 26 yards respectively.
Boston College was outgained by Florida State 307-207 yards in Thursday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 18-10 by the Seminoles.
Florida State lost the time of possession battle 31:30/28:30, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Next game, Florida State takes its act home to face Miami looking for another win. For Boston College, they head home to face North Carolina State.
