Eagles Fall 30-23 Against Virginia Tech - Game Recap
Marcus Davis caught 5 passes for 104 yards against the Boston College defense as Virginia Tech handed the Eagles a 30-23 loss on Saturday at Alumni Stadium.
The Hokies earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the 10-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 51.5 were rewarded with a winning wager.
Logan Thomas completed 16 of 33 pass attempts for 247 yards for the Hokies in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Rolandan Finch rushed for 138 yards for Boston College, while David Dudeck added 38 yards. Chase Rettig threw for 129 yards for the Eagles, while receivers Rolandan Finch and Chris Pantale had 53 and 36 yards respectively.
Boston College lost the offensive yardage battle to Virginia Tech 401-296 yards in Saturday's game. Boston College had more first downs as that total ended up 20-18.
Virginia Tech led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 30:04/29:56 split in that important category.
Next game, Virginia Tech takes its act home to face Virginia looking for another win. For Boston College, they head on the road to face North Carolina State.
