Second-half shutout sparks Bulls

The Buffalo Bulls outscored Kent State 38-0 in the second half of a 41-14 pounding of the Golden Flashes at UB Stadium on Saturday.

The Bulls came into the game as 16.5-point underdogs at home, and the 55 points scored were OVER the posted total of 41.

James Starks led the Bulls with 162 yards and three touchdowns on 24 carries, while Tony Paoli was 14-for-20 for 193 yards, one score, and a pick for the Bulls.

Julian Edelman went 16-for-29 for 190 yards and two interceptions, and also ran for 50 yards and two scores. Phil Garner had four catches for 48 yards for the Golden Flashes.
